PaperWise est produit autant que possible avec de l\u2019\u00e9nergie verte, mais nous sommes confront\u00e9s \u00e0 des \u00e9missions de CO2 in\u00e9vitables tout au long de la cha\u00eene. Pour la 3e ann\u00e9e cons\u00e9cutive, PaperWise compense int\u00e9gralement les \u00e9missions de CO2, mesur\u00e9es sur l\u2019ensemble de la cha\u00eene de production. Pour ce faire, PaperWise est affili\u00e9 \u00e0 la plateforme de compensation carbone des Nations Unies (Carbon Offset Platform).   <\/p>\n<h2>PLATEFORME DE COMPENSATION CARBONE DES NATIONS UNIES<\/h2>\n<p>Cette plateforme propose des projets certifi\u00e9s par l\u2019CCNUCC qui r\u00e9duisent, \u00e9vitent ou \u00e9liminent les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre de l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re. Ces projets se d\u00e9roulent dans des pays en d\u00e9veloppement et sont r\u00e9compens\u00e9s par des R\u00e9ductions d\u2019\u00c9missions Certifi\u00e9es (REC ; compensation carbone mesur\u00e9e en tonnes d\u2019\u00e9quivalent CO2). Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, PaperWise a compens\u00e9 au total un \u00e9quivalent de plus de 4\u202f700 tonnes de CO2. L\u2019objectif est de produire de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 partir d\u2019une \u00e9nergie \u00e9olienne propre et renouvelable, sans aucune \u00e9mission de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre associ\u00e9e. Si le parc \u00e9olien n\u2019\u00e9tait pas install\u00e9, une quantit\u00e9 \u00e9quivalente d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 serait produite par les centrales \u00e9lectriques raccord\u00e9es fonctionnant aux combustibles fossiles. En investissant dans ces g\u00e9n\u00e9rateurs d\u2019\u00e9oliennes, l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 est produite \u00e0 partir du vent, r\u00e9duisant ainsi les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre. L\u2019utilisation du vent naturel comme source d\u2019\u00e9nergie renouvelable produit donc une \u00e9nergie propre sans cons\u00e9quences n\u00e9gatives pour la sant\u00e9 de la communaut\u00e9 locale ou la vie biologique locale.     <\/p>\n<p>Les terrains achet\u00e9s pour les parcs \u00e9oliens sont en grande partie constitu\u00e9s de zones non constructibles et peu peupl\u00e9es. Sur le plan social et \u00e9conomique, le parc \u00e9olien contribue au d\u00e9veloppement des infrastructures. Cela comprend un r\u00e9seau routier sur le site du parc \u00e9olien, auquel la population locale a \u00e9galement acc\u00e8s. Il offre \u00e9galement des opportunit\u00e9s d\u2019emploi pour la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre qualifi\u00e9e et non qualifi\u00e9e.
